DevOps Principles

  1. Customer-centric action - All activity around building software must frequently involve the clients
  2. Create with the end in mind - Focus on building a whole product that is being presented to real customers
  3. End-to-end responsibility - All members of a devops team are responsible for the software they deliver
  4. Cross-functional autonomous teams - Organizations that work with vertical and fully responsible teams will need to let those teams work completely independently throughout the whole life cycle. To do this, each team member must have a broad range of skills, ranging from administration to development.
  5. Continuous Improvement - Adapt to changes continuously
  6. Automate everything - focus on automation in everything that you do

The four stages of the SDLC:

  • Plan
  • Develop
  • Deliver
  • Operate
