Groups
Groups offer a way to share files and directories among users.

The
/etc/groupfile defines the group IDs. Each line in this file represents a group, with fields separated by colons. There are 4 fields:- The group name
- The group password (this can be ignored)
- The group Id
- An optional list of users that belong to the group

To see the groups you belong to, run
groups
